Tour of Szeklerland: Lev Gonov wins the opening prologue
The recently joined Astana Qazaqstan Development Team as a trainee Lev Gonov won the opening prologue of Tour of Szeklerland. For the newcomer, it was the first day of racing in the team colors.
The Romanian stage race started with an opening prologue of 4 kilometers in Sfântu Gheorghe. Lev Gonov demonstrated the fastest time of 5 minutes and 46 seconds.
“It is a great feeling to start racing for Astana Qazaqstan Development Team with a victory! I am very glad that I was able to win today, but now we need to concentrate on the upcoming stages. I would also like to thank everyone for their work, I am very pleased with the level of professionalism in the team”, – said Lev Gonov.
