ZLM Tour. Gleb Syritsa is third in the individual time trial

The traditional “sprint” stage race ZLM Tour started in the Netherlands. As part of the first stage, the riders rode an individual time trial of 14.7 kilometres in the town of Westkapelle. Gleb Syritsa spent a solid dat and finished with the third result, losing just 17 seconds to the stage winner.

“Just a few days ago we finished a very productive training camp in Sierra Nevada and I feel like I am in good shape. I felt very good on the distance and together with the coaches we worked out a nice plan, which I tried to follow exactly. In the end, I managed to show a high speed and took third place. I think it’s a good start to the race, so let’s see how the next days will go” – said Gleb Syritsa.

Max Walker from Astana Qazaqstan Development Team also scored a strong result, finishing fourth, just 2 seconds behind Syritsa.
