Giro dell’Appennino. Simone Velasco takes second place

The rider of Astana Qazaqstan Team Simone Velasco claims a second place at Giro dell’Appennino. An Italian one-day race started in Novi Ligure and after 198,5 kilometers finished in Genova.

“It was my first race after returning from altitude and we came very competitive and felt stronger than we expected. Everyone in the team raced for 100 percent and a podium, second place, was a well-deserved and pleasant result for us in the end. Now, I hope that we can achieve some victories in the final part of the season”, – said Simone Velasco.
