Tour of Turkey. Cees Bol takes third in Bodrum

Stage Five of the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey with the finish in Bodrum ended with a bunch sprint where Cees Bol once again finished on the podium, taking a third place.

“Well, the final was quite dangerous, and it was not easy to control everything and to keep your place in front. Fortunately, I had my team next to me and I want to thank all the guys for their support during the day and also in the final. Alexey Lutsenko guided me well in the last corners and, actually, I got a good position for the sprint. But there was a crash right in front of me and two Bora riders got a small gap. I tried to close it back, but it was too late as the final straight after the last corner was too short. It’s a pity as it was another good opportunity, however I stay optimistic and looking forward to the remained stages for sprinters”, – said Cees Bol.

Alexey Lutsenko still leads the race both in General and Mountain Classifications, while Harold Tejada is third in the overall.
